Lowara Minifix Cabinet Booster Set & Cat 5 Break Tank

The Lowara Minifix is a compact, wall-mounted booster system that combines a single pump and water tank in a sleek brushed steel cabinet. It is designed with Fluid CAT5 protection, ensuring compliance with water regulations. This unit is ideal for applications requiring category 5 protection, such as:

Vehicle washing
Bin stores
Outdoor taps
Irrigation systems
Laboratories
Other similar installations

Unit Connections:

Inlet: 15mm
Overflow: 22mm
System Connection: 15mm

Installation Instructions:

Water Inlet Connection:
- Connect the Mini Fix tank booster water inlet (15mm compression fitting, located on the left side of the cabinet) to a suitable water supply.
- Ensure the inlet is equipped with an isolation valve to facilitate maintenance.
Low-Pressure Adjustment:
- If the pressure at the ball valve is below 0.3 bar, install a low-pressure orifice to ensure proper operation.
Overflow Management:
- Extend the 22mm plastic overflow pipe (on the left side of the unit) to a visible location where overflow can be noticed and addressed.
- The installer must ensure the overflow can handle the incoming water volume. If not, install a pressure-reducing valve to control the mains water inflow.
System Outlet Connection:
- Connect the discharge port (15mm push-fit fitting, located on the right side of the cabinet) to the system inlet.
Draining the Break Tank:
- To drain the tank, isolate the suction line using the ball valve on the flexible connector.
- Detach the flexible end from the pump and position it over a container to collect the drained water.

Additional Notes:

The break tank is designed with a weir slot to prevent backflow contamination, in accordance with water bylaws.
In the event of a catastrophic failure of the inlet ball valve or NRV, the overflow may not manage the inflow. Excess water will then exit through the weir slot, potentially spilling onto the plant room floor.

Delivery Information

Standard delivery:

Standard delivery is free for all orders except for some low cost/low margin items where standard delivery is £6.75. Some difficult to transport goods also have a varying carriage charge applied.

Deliveries will typically be made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Next day delivery:

Next working day delivery is available for a £15.00 + vat delivery charge.

Orders must be placed before 12 noon to qualify for next working day delivery. Orders placed after 12 noon on Thursday but before noon on Friday will be delivered the following Monday. Orders placed after 12 noon on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.
